Teach for a year in China
AYC is designed for college educated, open-minded people seeking to expand their horizons and enhance their careers. Any native English-speaking degree holder is welcome to apply. Spanning one academic year, AYC is designed to enrich career development and personal growth. Immerse yourself in the heart of Chinese society. As a participant in AYC, you will teach for one academic year in China. Postings include but are not limited to: public primary or secondary schools the greater metropolitan areas of Shanghai, Beijing, Nanjing, Tianjin, and the provinces of Guangdong, Anhui, Hebei, and Fujian. You will interact with students, colleagues, and other Chinese citizens as an unofficial ambassador for your country, imparting its goodwill towards the Chinese people and challenging misconceptions about its culture, society, and educational system.
AYC provides:
- full legal working status in China
- a monthly stipend of approximately $800 or 5,000 RMB
- lessons in Chinese
