n unveiling ceremony of AST test center was held in Yangzhou High School on May 21st 2009. Mr Michael O'Sullivan, Director of The Trustees of the Cambridge Commonwealth and Overseas Trusts, and Prof. Sean Zhang, deputy chairman of the Ameson Foundation, came to Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province to seal the deal of the educational collaboration. University of Cambridge China screening program is co-organized by Cambridge Admissions Office, University of Cambridge and the Ameson Foundation. By joining this program, Yangzhou High Shool has become an AST Test Center of Ameson Foundation and University of Cambridge China screening center.
Mr O'Sullivan says he has been impressed by the academic performances of Chinese students studying at Cambridge University. Among their 11,000 undergraduate students, ten percent are international students and more than 200 are from China. They excelled in their studies especially in the subjects of engineering and mathematics. “Cambridge University is going to provide more scholarship for Chinese students”, he adds.
Prof. Sean Zhang commented on the Ameson-Cambridge cooperation that “Ameson will also provide scholarship for the students studying in Cambridge through our screen program” he says, “and we are going to match Cambridge’s scholarship offer this year. It means that Ameson will provide the same amount of scholarship to the Chinese students who received scholarship from Cambridge. In this way it helps them to achieve their Cambridge dream”.
