The Ameson Education and Culture Exchange Foundation and the China Zhigong Party donated more than 600 books valued at $20,000 to the China Town branch of the Los Angeles Public Library, on April 30, 2009. Taking part in the donation presentation: Mr. Xu Zhaoyou, the Chinese Consulate General of LA; Mr. Huang Yinhui, Director of the Jiangsu Zhigong Party Committee; Professor Sean Zhang, the Ameson Foundation Deputy Chairman; Mr. Ramon Cortines, former Deputy Mayor of LA and current Superintendant of the Los Angeles School District; Ms. Kris Morita, Interim Library Director.


Dr. Michael Behnke, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Chicago, joined the Deputy Chairman of the Ameson Foundation Professor Sean Zhang in visiting the Shaoxing No. 1 Middle School in Zhejiang Province, in order to cultivate a deeper spirit of collaboration between all parties.
Ameson Foundation hosted “Dialogue with world leading universities” events with Yangtze Evening Post. Chancellors, heads of registry and student admission officers from the world’s leading universities participated in the events.
Mr. Zhou Wanchun, vice secretary of Liaoning Provincial Government, led an educational delegation from Liaoning Province for a 14-day visit to Turkey, India and Egypt. The education visit aims at promoting further collaboration for Liaoning and higher-education institutions in the three countries.
The first joint training program for Chinese high school principals (co-organized by the Ameson Foundation and the Finnish National Board of Education) was successfully completed in Helsinki, Finland.
With support from Nanjing Bureau of Education and sponsored by the Ameson Foundation, an intensive training prgram for elementary and high school English teachers in Nanjing was completed at the Ameson Institute. Sixty-four teachers from Baixia, Qinhuai and Xuanwu Districts of Nanjing took part in the training.
Mr. Zhou Ji, Education Minister of China met with Prof. Sean Zhang, Deputy Chairman of the Ameson Foundation, in Beijing.
Ameson Foundation invited Mr. He, senior English teacher of Nanjing Foreign Language School, to give a lecture for English teachers in Jinan, Shandong Province, who are taking part at teachers training in Nanjing.
The Ameson Institute organized a situational teaching training session for more than 100 teachers from Jiangsu, Anhui and Zhejiang Provinces who are undergoing summer training in Nanjing. The teachers visited the Memorial Hall of Victims in Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders and Yunjin Museum of Nanjing.
Professor Sean Zhang (the Deputy Chairman of the Ameson Foundation) and Ms. Lica Zhang (Chief Representative of Ameson's Representative Office in Nanjing) attended an official welcoming dinner in honor of Dr. Boutros Boutros Ghali, at the Egyptian Embassy in Beijing.
