ueensland University of Technology (QUT), Jiangsu Institute of Education and the Ameson Foundation created a new MA program in TESOL.
This program aims at developing professional qualification of English teachers, improving teaching and researching proficiency, strengthening the overall construction of English teaching in primary and secondary education, and meeting the requirements of intercultural communication of China and the world. The program is designed by Ameson, Jiangsu Institute of Education and QUT, and it was created using the standards of English teaching in China.
University graduates majoring in English and English teachers in high school, higher-education institutions, vocational and technological colleges are qualified for the program. The period of program is one year, which is divided into three stages and 8 units. The courses in China focuses on IELTS intensive training and two academic units. The courses will be taught by the Jiangsu Institute of Education and Nanjing Normal University in China. After that, students will continue with the program in QUT, Australia, to finish 6 more units and a dissertation. Students with satisfactory results will be awarded MA in TESOL approved by Australian Ministry of education.
