n addition to University of Cambridge starting to work with Ameson for recruiting high school students in China for their undergraduate program, Queensland University and Stony Brook University have also teamed up with Ameson and opened their doors to Chinese students. They are going to recruit excellent high school graduates and some freshmen with scholarships.

The Ameson Foundation held a press conference for the three programs, during which they summarized last year’s collaboration with Cambridge and introduced this year’s selection criteria for the three universities. The programs offered by the three universities provide more opportunities for Chinese students to study in leading universities around the world .

2002 marked the first time that Cambridge University began directly recruiting Chinese high school students for their undergraduate programs. Ten excellent Chinese students were selected. After that, Stony Brook University also formed a similar admission procedure. Professor Yang Chen Ning particularly helped promoting this program and provided “Yang Chen Ning scholarship” for outstanding Chinese students who enters Stony Brook. As one of the top universities in Australia, Queensland University also started working with Ameson and it is also the first time that Chinese students don’t need to take part in pre-university program for undergraduate study. QUI will admit Chinese students on the basis of their GAOKAO score and also an IELTS score which is no less than 6.5. In addition, the Ameson Scholastic Test (AST) is required by the three universities.
