Collaborations

T
he Ameson Chinese Elite Identification Scheme (ACEIS) now welcomes another leading university in the UK – the University of Nottingham – to join the program that helps world-leading universities identify top Chinese high school students.

Mr. Vincenzo Raimo, Director of International Office, University of Nottingham, visited the office of the Ameson Foundation's Shanghai office at the Shanghai Centre with Ms. Lily Ma, international officer of University of Nottingham’s Shanghai Office, on January 21, 2010. Ms. Lica Zhang, Director of Ameson’s Representative Office in Nanjing, and Mr. Harry Liu, Deputy Director of Ameson’s Shanghai Office, hosted a signing ceremony for the cooperation between Ameson and the University of Nottingham for the ACEIS program. The two parties signed the agreement on the ACEIS collaboration and discussed possibilities of further collaboration of the university and the Ameson Foundation.

The meeting also finalized the agreement that will provide Chinese students with the opportunity to study at Nottingham for their undergraduate programs upon passing the Ameson Scholastic Test (AST). In addition, Mr. Raimo also shared information about Nottingham for The Voice, a student newspaper project of the Ameson Foundation.

Mr. Raimo commented that “We are very excited about our relationship with Ameson. We look forward to seeing more excellent students in China to join Nottingham.”

University of Nottingham not only provides an excellent academic environment for its students, but also prepares students to contribute on a global level. International students in Nottingham come from 150 countries. Those elite Chinese students selected by the program will find themselves in an international environment and follow in the footsteps of famous Chinese University of Nottingham alumni. In addition, it's the first British university where the chancellor is Chinese, and it has a campus located in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province of China. It was recognized by The Times newspaper that “Nottingham is the nearest Britain has to a truly global university.”
